On Saturday 3rd we set up our stand at Tichborne Park in Hampshire ready for a busy day at the 2016 Alresford Show.
This was our first time exhibiting at the show which is held annually in the picturesque Tichborne Park grounds near Alresford. Surprisingly the show is open to the public for just the single day, but with so much to see and do it is certainly an action-packed day.
The morning was full of glorious sunshine but of course the heavens opened later in the afternoon before closing time, but it wouldn’t be a British show without a little rain.
Best Agricultural Machinery Stand
We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the Perpetual Challenge Cup for best agri-machinery stand at the Alresford Show. A big thank you to Tom who kept things running as smoothly as can be, and also to all of the team who spent the days (and even weeks!) leading up to the show preparing for the stand.
There was some very strong competition from the other machinery stands, most with their not so compact tractors. Despite this we were delighted that our stand design caught the eyes of the judges and we were given 1st prize with a trophy which will be taking pride of place back at the Farm Tech HQ.
Terrific Tractors
Of course we had to have a quick visit to take a look in the vintage tractors area on the day. Here there were also prizes awarded for the best tractors on display, many had taken part in some brilliant restorations and each had their own unique story to tell.
We were also invited to take part in the modern machinery parade. Frank jumped in the cab of the Armatrac 110hp tractor and took to the main arena in the afternoon. (Although we suspected his speedy exit from the stand was mainly to avoid the downpour!). It was all great fun and a fantastic way to end an exceptional day.
